Rose Marie (D’Angelo) Crise

Rose Marie (D’Angelo) Crise, 97, of Cushing St., Fredonia, N.Y., went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. Rose was born in Pittson, Pa., on, April 7, 1922, to the late Joseph and Anna Marie (Polizzi) D’Angelo.

She was a resident of Jamestown until her marriage to the love of her life, the late Vincent Crise of Fredonia, whom she wed on Sept. 8, 1945, at St. James Church in Jamestown.

In her younger years, she attended school in Jamestown and worked at the Weber-Knapp factory. After her marriage, she moved to Fredonia, and be- came the loving mother to six children. Rose was avery loving, caring woman who was always looking after and helping others through her thoughtfulness, deeds, and prayers.

She was a member of St. Anthony’s Parish in Fredonia, NY. Rose was an active participant in its choir, prayer chain, the St. Lucy’s Society, the Women’s Guild, the Carl Vincent Auxiliary, and the St. Anthony’s Home School Association, when her children were young.

Rose is survived by her children, AnnMarie (Charles) Curtis of Jamestown, Teresa Cusirnano-Lockwood of Pennsylvania, Gerald Crise of Fredonia, Kathleen Kricheldorf of Dunkirk, N.Y., and JoAnn (Donald) Obrien of Victor, N.Y. She is further survived by 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; her sister, MaryAnn Carlo; and brother, Peter D’Angelo of Jamestown; her brother, Thomas D’Angelo of Binghamton, N.Y., as well as several nieces and nephews and good friends, who were like family.

Besides her parents and husband, Rose was predeceased by her infant daughter, Geraldine; her brothers Joseph, Vincent, and Angelo D’Angelo; her sisters, Concetta PalermoNalhone, and Catherine Colera, and her sons-in-law, Lawrence Lockwood and Michael Kricheldorf.

“The LOVELY ROSE will be missed by many.” Rose’s Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Reverend Joseph Walters on Monday, Aug. 26, 2019 at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony’s Church . Relatives and friends may attend her Funeral Mass and are invited to pay their respects to the family today from 6-8 p.m. and on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m.

Interment Will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Sheridan, N.Y. All arrangements have been entrusted to Michael R. Fantauzzi, Owner and Director of the Fantauzzi Funeral Home, 82 E. Main St., Fredonia.
