Larry N. Johnson

He was born November 10, 1934, in Jamestown, a son of the late Leonard and Ruby Anderson Johnson.

Larry was raised and educated in Jamestown, graduating from Jamestown High School in 1951. Larry worked various construction jobs over the years with the Local Teamsters Union. He was a truck driver for the union for many years, retiring in 1996. Larry enjoyed golfing, collecting baseball cards and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death on July 31, 2018 by his wife Shirley M. Shaffer Johnson whom he married on Sept. 10, 1955 in Corry; a son Randy Johnson and a brother David Johnson.

Larry is survived by three daughters, Virginia Young of Clearwater, Fla., Shelley Johnson of Glen Gardener, N.J., and Dawn Johnson of Snellville, Ga.; a son, Colin Johnson and his wife Tracy Maynard of Vero Beach; a sister Joan Brunacini of Jamestown; and a brother, Harold Johnson and his wife Sheila of Frewsburg, N.Y., and an aunt Leah Bullock of Jamestown,.

Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Matthew, Jonathon, Michael, Halla, Ismael, Iman, Rainey and Gracie; three great-grandchildren, Logan, Morgan, Kaitlyn and by several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call at the Bracken Funeral Home, 315 N. Center St., Corry, Pa. from 3 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 4 p.m. Rev. Andy Blystone will officiate.

Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Corry, Pa.
