Jack Goodwill

Jack Goodwill, 71 of Sinclairville, and formerly of Clymer and Mayville, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, Aug. 12, 2019, due to cancer.

He was born Aug. 16, 1947, in Corry, Pa., the son of the late Fred and Frances Williams Goodwill.

After high school Jack served his country in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War where he served two tours. He was very proud of his military service.

Jack was the owner and operator of J&S Painting in Mayville, running his business for over 40 years.

He is survived by his wife, Sherri Eggleston; his four sons: Jason (Deserae) Goodwill, Josh (Samantha) Goodwill, Jamie (Emily) Goodwill, and Jordan (Kali) Goodwill; two daughters: Bobbi Jo Goodwill, and Samantha (Tyler) Shirley; 18 grandchildren; four siblings: Laura Cochran, Linda (Rick) Applebee, Mary Waltz and Rosie Holt and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jeremy Goodwill; and a brother, John Goodwill.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 15, 2019, in the veterans section of the Mayville Cemetery where military honors will be given by the Mayville VFW Post 8647.
