Anthony E. “Tony” Gray

Anthony E. “Tony” Gray, 59, of Sinclairville, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, Aug. 18, 2019, in UPMC Chautauqua.

He was born April 11, 1960, in Los Angeles, Calif.

Tony was a U.S. Navy veteran proudly serving his country aboard the USS Nimitz, receiving an honorable discharge April 13, 1983.

He was employed as an iron worker at Bethlehem Steel in Buffalo for many years and retired from Overhead Door in Jamestown.

Tony enjoyed fishing with his best friend, Fletcher Harrison, boating, gardening, horseshoes, his dogs, spending time with his grandkids, especially Catey, and doing maintenance on his trailer parks. He loved conniving his family into making him brownies.

Surviving are his wife, Kim Gray; a brother, Robert Gray; six children: Tony, Nadine, Ginger, Chelsea, Ashley and Travis; two stepchildren: Jessica and Steven; several nieces and nephews; and his mother, Ellen Maternowski.

He was preceded in death by his adoptive parents, Merle and Marie Gray; and a sister, Phyllis Gray.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Tony’s life from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
