Theodore “Ted” Faust

Theodore “Ted” Faust, 93, of Youngsville, passed away at home, on Monday, May 27, 2019.

He was born Nov. 13, 1925, in Freehold Twp, Sugar Grove, Pa., to Oliver and Edna Pierce Faust.

Ted completed high school at Lottsville High School and then went on to serve in the U.S. Army during World War II. After the war he worked at Corry -Jamestown for a period of time then ran his own business as a floor covering installer.

Throughout his life, Ted was very active. He received his pilots license and enjoyed his time in the air. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Zem Zem Shrine from Erie, the Warren County Shriners, the Coudersport Consistory. He was a member of the National Ski Patrol, the Dive Recovery Team from Warren, Veterans of Foreign Wars in Mayville, the Sugar Grove AMVETS, American Legion in Corry and the Lakewood Rod and Gun.

Ted was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers: Carl, Warren and Norman; and his sisters: Polly and Elizabeth.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia, whom he married at Peak and Peak on Nov. 1, 1975; his children: Ted (Diane) Faust, Stephen (Shirley) Faust and Dianne Faust; a step-daughter, Marcia (Vince) Velker; seven grandchildren; and step grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a special niece, Sherry (Dennis) Chase, who was like a daughter to Ted.

Services are private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Mayville Cemetery.
