Terrance O. “Terry” Chandler Sr.

Terrance O. “Terry” Chandler Sr., 76, of Falconer, passed away Monday (June 17, 2019) in his home, with his family by his side.

A lifelong area resident, he was born Dec. 2, 1942, in Jamestown, the son of the late Orville L. and Katherine Kaye Chandler.

Terry attended Falconer High School and in earlier years was employed by Dahlstroms Manufacturing and Art Metal Corp. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by MRC-SKF.

Terry was involved in many clubs such as the Southern Tier Motorcycle Club, the Antique Car Club and a member of the Falconer Rod & Gun Club. He enjoyed driving his motorcycle, his vintage vehicles, taking scenic drives, photography, bowling and of course golf. His favorite travel destination was the beach during the cooler fall days, traveling with his wife to Myrtle Beach and visiting family in Florida.

Surviving are his wife, Rosella Cusimano Chandler of 56 years; three children: Terrance O. “Terry” Chandler Jr. (Jennifer) of Milton, Fla., Katherine Troutman (Scott) of Falconer and Patti-Jo Verga (John) of Jamestown; seven grandchildren: Nicole Peacock, Rachael Brown, Drew Troutman, Brent Troutman, Ryan Fiorella and Nicholas Verga; a great-grandson, Cayden Peacock; and a brother, William Chandler (Carole) of Leesburg, Fla.

He was preceded in death by his father, Orville in 1995; and his mother, Katherine in 2001.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m., Thursday in the Falconer Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the funeral home. The Rev. Joseph Jananczek, pastor of Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church will officiate.
