Ralph Duane “Dewey” Peterson

Ralph Duane “Dewey” Peterson passed away on June 13, 2019.

A native of Busti, N.Y., and a graduate of Southwestern High School in Jamestown, N.Y., he married his high school sweetheart, Georgia Bosko, also from Busti, N.Y.

Following his academic and doctoral work at Cornell University he was hired by the Kellogg Company, where he served in various research and executive positions in both the United States and Canada until his retirement and relocation to Fairfield Glade, Tenn.

He and Georgia found their “home” in Tennessee where he was actively involved in religious and community service, first as a pastor for a Grace Communion International associated home church, serving as president of the Crossville, Tenn., Habitat for Humanity, and various other community outreach activities.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Georgia V. Peterson; four children: Scott, Michael, Jennifer, and Joel; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He lived a rich life in the service of others and faithfulness in Christ. He was truly a man of character and love.
