Donald A. Schwanke

He was born Nov. 6, 1941, in Warren, Pa., a son of the late Carl and Bernice Waite Schwanke.

Don retired from Blackstone, where he had been a welder and machinist. He was also a former member of the Moose and the American Legion.

He was an automobile enthusiast, liked to follow NASCAR and always enjoyed dancing. Don particularly loved Colorado.

He is survived by two daughters: Michele (Anthony) Carey of Lakewood, Colo., and Shannon Schwanke of Arvada, Colo.; as well as five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Schwanke, whom he married July 16, 1983, and who died Nov. 10, 2016; and two brothers: Eugene and Wayne Schwanke.

A private family service will be held at a later date. Visitation will not be observed. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
