David L. Parasiliti, “Dave’’

David L. Parasiliti, “Dave,” was born on June 18, 1943, in Jamestown, N.Y., to Audrey and Fred Parasiliti. He passed away May 24, 2019, at home, surrounded by his loving family and dog, Lola.

Dave was a 1962 graduate of Jamestown High School. He served two years in the Naval Reserve. After high school, he worked for Watson Manufacturing before deciding on a career in the fire sprinkler industry. He worked for sprinkler companies in New York and Arizona. In 1977, he began work for Diamond Shamrock, which was purchased by Occidental Chemical, for 35 years where he was known to everyone by “Yank.”

Dave married the former Jeanne Martin in 1965. They celebrated 54 years of marriage this past January.

Dave’s joy in life was spending time with his wife, sons, daughters-in- law and grandchildren taking yearly family vacations. He coached Little League and YMCA basketball in Arizona, Deer Park and Pasadena, Texas, of which both his sons participated. In previous years, Dave enjoyed golfing with his wife, sons, and occasionally with his father-in-law. He was an avid fan of the Astros, Texans and Rockets.

After retiring in 2012, Dave and his wife, Jeanne, traveled around the U.S., including a yearly Fall trip back to Western New York, reconnecting with some family and “old” friends. They enjoyed spending time at the Vikings and Lakewood Rod & Gun Club of which he had become a member in 2017. He and his wife, Jeanne, attended both his 50th and 55th Jamestown High School reunions with hometown friends.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws, several aunts, uncles, and one niece.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jeanne, two loving sons, Dan and Randy, loving daughters-in- law: Vickie and Teresa; and five adoring grandchildren: Kristi, Kelli, Jonathan, Gianni and Vincent. He is also survived by a sister, Becky Moriarty and brother, Tom Parasiliti and their families.

Dave will be in our hearts forever.
