Lois B Stewart

She was born Sept. 25, 1931, in Jamestown, N.Y., the daughter of Harry Laws and Helen Nelsen Laws.

Lois was preceded in death by her first husband, John Kenneth Leif, who passed away in 1953; her second, husband L. Arnold Stewart, who passed away in 2001; a son, James W. Stewart, who passed away in 2016; and granddaughter, Kelsey Lauren Thompson, who passed away in 2018.

Lois is survived by five children: Karen Leif of Norwich, Conn., Greg (Susan) Leif of Jamestown, N.Y., Wendy (Dennis) Town of Goldsboro, N.C., Lisa (Kyle) Swierski of Elma, N.Y., and Arnette Stewart of Winthrop, Mass. She was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 15 great- grandchildren.

Lois loved to cook for her family and friends. She liked to sew and made beautiful hand-made quilts for her children and grandchildren, a testament of her love toward her family. She was also an avid reader. Lois was happiest when surrounded by all her loved ones. She will be missed.

A celebration of life in the honor of Lois and her son, James will be held by the family at a later date.
