Bernhard I. Wolff

Bernhard I. Wolff, 88, of Syracuse, N.Y. passed away Jan. 10., 2019.

Born in Jamestown, N.Y., he was the son of Swedish immigrants. Bernhard graduated from Jamestown High School and Syracuse University with a Bachelors in Physics and an Masters in Economics. He served in the U.S. Air Force in Korea and was honorably discharged as airman third class.

Bernhard retired in 1989 after 32 years from General Electric, where he was an engineering manager. After retirement, he worked as a technical consultant. He volunteered for Literacy Volunteers of Syracuse and the Starlight Estates Homeowners’ Association.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ann (Ecker); a daughter, Karen of West Chester, Pa.; a son, Colin (Dawn) of Elbridge; five grandchildre: James (Tetyana) Wolff, Kalila Sharafi, Alyssa Wolff, Sara (Jonathan) Pabis and Bryant Wolff; a twin sister, Dolores Thompson; and several nieces and nephews.

Services were private. Burial with military honors was held in Onondaga County Veteran’s Ceme- tery.
