Ronald William Test
Ronald William Test, 79, of Brocton, N.Y., passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday evening Dec. 17, 2018.
He was born in Fredonia, N.Y., on Sept. 13, 1939, to the late William and Marjorie Guest Test and has lived in this area his entire life.
As a young man, he served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed at Al Tech Specialty Steel in Dunkirk for 32 years until his retirement. Ron also was a member of the American Legion John W. Dill Post 434 of Brocton, N.Y.
Besides loving his family, he also enjoyed working on tractors and building computers, attending tractor pulls, going to the Casino, reading and traveling/ camping.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie A (Davidson) Testm whom he married Jan. 15, 1966, in Fredonia, N.Y.; four children: Ronald (Teri) Test of Cherry Creek, Sandra (Darren) Buck of Brocton, Cathryn (Mike Dotson) Millin of Brocton and Laura (Michael) Shelters of Brocton; three brothers: Richard (late Ann Marie) Test of Dunkirk, Ernest (Shirley) Test of Pinnellis Park and David (Ann Marie) Test of Dunkirk; two uncles: Richard Guest of Ohio and Denton (Sue) Guest of California; one sister-in-law, Mary Test; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers: Raymond and Robert Test; one sister Marjorie Bannister; one grandson, Merle Jack Millin; and grandparents: Nina Guest Thompson and Ronald Guest.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2018, from the Morse Funeral Home in Brocton, N.Y., with the Rev. Jim LaBarr of Harvest Chapel in Fredonia officiating. Full military honors will be accorded Ron by the American Legion John W. Dill Post 434 of Brocton at the Funeral Home at the conclusion of the funeral service. Interment will be at Webster St. Cemetery in Fredonia, N.Y.
Friends are invited to call at the Morse Funeral Home, 51 Highland Ave., Brocton, N.Y., from 4-7 p.m., on Friday, Dec. 21, 2018.
