James M. “Chipper” McKotch

James M. “Chipper” McKotch, 78, of 14 Acorn St., Kennedy, died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018, in Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing, surrounded by his family.

He was born Oc. 4, 1939, in Colver, Pa., one of 10 children born to Matthew and Frances Belin McKotch.

For 40 years he was employed by MRC SKF as a machinist.

He enjoyed hunting and going to the casino with his wife.

Surviving are his wife, Virginia Licals McKotch, whom he married July 22, 1961; siblings: Paul (Carol) McKotch of Falconer, Martin (Wanda) McKotch of Jamestown, Donna (Charles) Pollaro of Albuquerque, NM, and Jean (Wayne) Berg, Sharon (David) Gollnick and Karen (James) Carlson all of Jamestown and several nieces and nephews who were like his children.

Besdies his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers: Lawrence and Ronald McKotch; a sister, Audrey VanGuden; sister-in-law, Janice McKotch; two nephews: Lawrence McKotch Jr. and Robert Gunnell; and a niece, Sue Ann Reitz.

A private graveside service will be held in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Visitation will not be observed.
