Catherine Sgro Colucci
Catherine Sgro Colucci, 95, of Jamestown, died Tuesday Oct. 2, 2018, in Heritage Village Gerry, N.Y. She was born in San Nicola Crissa Reggio Calabria, Italy, the daughter of Dominic and Catherine Sgro. Catherine was employed by the former Lucie’s for 30 years as a seamstress and retired in 1995.
She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, cooking and baking. She loved spending time with her family, friends and co-workers. She was a member of St. James Parish.
Catherine is survived by her husband Dominic Angelo Colucci, a son Eugene Colucci, a daughter Rosaria Colucci, a brother Domenic Sgro, and a sister Assunta Fera. Besides her mother and father, she is preceded in death by a brother Paul Sgro, and a sister Rosa Maria Bevacqua.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Monday, October 8, 2018, in St. James Parish, the Rev. Darrel Duffy will officiate. Friends will be received from 11:30 a.m to 12:30 p.m. prior to funeral at the Migliore Funeral Home. Entombment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
