Gerald R. Bigelow

He was born Nov. 14, 1935, in Goodland, Kans., the son of the late Egbert and Myrtle Bigelow.

Jerry served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a member of the American Legion Post 531 and a volunteer fireman at Little Valley Fire Department for several years. He proudly worked 40 years as a heavy equipment operator for I.B.E.W. Local 1249. After retirement, he enjoyed operating equipment at Little Valley Sand and Gravel.

Survivors include his wife Bonita, to whom he was married for 59 years; two children: Debra Bigelow of Erie Pa., and deceased son, Robert (Wanda) Bigelow of Little Valley, N.Y. They have three grandchildren and nine grea-grandchildren; his sister, Janise Fryling; brother, Donald Bigelow; and sister, the late Peggy Schwartz.

A private memorial service will be arranged at a future time.
