Carole Ann Sutter
The family of Carole Ann Sutter rejoices over the promise of complete healing and restoration as she entered heaven and was reunited with her beloved husband, Fred, on July 1, 2018. We sincerely mourn the loss of our mother, but delight in her gain of eternal life.
Carole was born in Woolwich, England, on June 6, 1940, to Maidie Alice Sewell and Rudolf Fudge Cory. Carole met the dashing Fred William Sutter during his time stationed in England with the U.S. Air Force. He subsequently wooed her to the U.S. and they were married on April 8, 1961, in Union City, Pa. Fred and Carole celebrated a wonderful life together for 55 years until his passing on May 30, 2016.
Carole was a most attentive mother and her most precious work was inspiring the souls that are her children. Vicky, Nikki and Brent’s first lessons of love were learned in their beautiful, sweet mother’s arms. She did not open all of the life’s doors for her children, but she did encourage us to find the keys.
In addition to her love and devotion to her family. Carole enjoyed her role as a secretary/ administrative assistant to several exceptional supervisors through the Jamestown Public School Administrative offices over the period of 33 years, retiring in the summer of 2002.
Carole’s legacy lives on through her children, Vicky (David) Boughton of Bemus Point, N.Y., Nikki (Tracy) Fox of Castlerock, Colorado, and Brent (Kim) Sutter of Gerry, N.Y.; her adored grandchildren: Ryan and Tabitha Taylor Boughton, both of Bemus Point; and Sasheea, Safara and Sunika Fox, all of Castlerock, Colo. Carole is also survived by her loving brother, Michael “Mick” Cory of Brisbane Australia.
We will celebrate Carole’s life with a memorial service at the Bemus Point United Methodist Church, 4954 Bemus Ellery Road, Bemus Point, N.Y., on Friday, July 6, at 6 p.m.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Powers, Present & Sixbey Funeral Home, 316 E. Fifth St., Jamestown, N.Y.
