Leo E. Hadley, 70, of 1785 Blockville-Watts Flats Road, Ashville, died Sunday Jan. 28, 2018, in UMPC Chautauqua WCA Hospital.
A native of Ellicottville, he was born April 17, 1947, a son of the late Ernest and Dorothy Chapman Hadley.
Most of his career he was an over-the-road truck driver. He enjoyed doing this and missed it after he became disabled.
He was a member of Busti Church of God, Ashville Volunteer Fire Department, Panama Volunteer Fire Department and Lakewood Memorial Post 1286 American Legion. He volunteered as a Boy Scout leader.
Leo always knew how to make people laugh. His sense of humor and gift of storytelling will always be remembered. He loved fishing and hunting.
Surviving are his wife, Janet Seiberg Hadley, whom he married Sept. 5, 1981; seven sons: Leo Hadley Jr. of New Port Richey, Fla., Matt Hadley of Cherry Creek, Mark (Misty) Hadley of Troutman, N.C., John Hadley of Jamestown, Casey Hadley of Ashville and Matt and Christopher Zamborowski both of Buffalo; nine grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren; and half siblings: Bill and Ben Griffith and Myrtle Carr.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a half-brother, Roy Griffith, and a half-sister, Mildred Reagle.
The funeral will be held at noon Friday in Busti Church of God. Burial will be in Blockville Union Cemetery.
Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service Friday in the church.
