Richard C. Walker, 51, of Sherman, N.Y., died unexpectedly on Friday, Nov. 10, 2017, at the UPMC Hamot in Erie, Pa.

Richard was born Nov. 3, 1966, in Jamestown, N.Y., to Clark and Donna (Davies) Walker of Panama.

He was a thrill seeker, enjoying equipment and recreation vehicles that were powerful and fast. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, gardening, swimming, playing sports and spending time with his family. A self-employed mechanic and farmer, he could fix anything. He was always involved in farming at various levels and owned and operated a custom harvesting business.

He was a friend of many and lived life to the fullest.

Richard is survived by: his wife, Tammy (Rater) Walker; four children: Nicole (James) Redlecki, Heather (Derek) Redlecki, Kayla Walker and Michael (Whitney) Walker; three grandsons: Trenten, Warren and Travis; and three granddaughters: Alexis, Leona and Arabella. He is also survived by six siblings: Lora (Rick) Cliver, Todd (Michelle) Walker, Chad Walker, David Walker, Troy (Heather) Walker, Sara (Mitch) Lawrence; as well as 16 nephews and seven nieces.

Calls may be made Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at the Spitzer Funeral Home, 135 Miller St.

Funeral service and interment will be private.
