Peter Kozlowski

Peter Kozlowski, 57, of Randolph, N.Y., died Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2017, at UPMC Chautauqua WCA, Jamestown, N.Y., surrounded by his family.

Born Aug. 21, 1960, in Bethel, Alaska, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Janet Snow Kozlowski. He was married Aug. 22, 1998, in the Baptist Church in Randolph, N.Y., to the former, Dana Van Ord, who survives.

He was a graduate of Washburn High School class of 1979, Washburn, Wis.

Mr. Kozlowski was employed as short order cook for 22 years in both Wisconsin and New York. He had also been employed at Bush Customer Service for over 7 years.

He was a Yupik Alaskan native. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was known as the mascot and cheerleader at the cardiac rehab at UPMC. He enjoyed cooking, working on jigsaw puzzles as well as watching TV game shows. He loved animals especially his dog, Gabby.

Mr. Kozlowski was a member of Buddhist SGI-USA, Buffalo, N.Y.

Surviving besides his wife are: two sisters: Valerie Kozlowski, Jamestown, N.Y. and Ethel Phillip, Alakanuk, Alaska; two brothers: David Stern and Clyde Stern, both of Alakanuk, Alaska; six nieces: Tayah Main, Salamanca, N.Y., Sonja and Janet Main, both of Jamestown, N.Y., Lois Moon, Jamestown, N.Y., Amanda Burnham and Lori Niles, both of Frewsburg, N.Y.; and several grand and great-nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Paul “Ducky” Stern.

Friends may call at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River St., Salamanca, N.Y., on Saturday from 3-5 p.m., at which time funeral services will be held with Pastor Peter Pasieka of the United Methodist Church, Frewsburg, N.Y., officiating..

Burial will be in Hillside Haven Cemetery, Steamburg, N.Y.
