Patricia B. Rittman
Patricia B. Rittman, of Chautauqua, N.Y., formerly of Bronxville, N.Y., passed from this world on Oct. 6, 2017, she was 90.
Patricia was born Aug. 15, 1927, in Bronxville N.Y., to William and Anne Bybell. She attended Roosevelt High School in Yonkers, N.Y., and later, The Juilliard School in New York City. Patricia was a popular lyric soprano with The Chautauqua Opera Company when she met her husband, William C. Rittman in 1949.
She is survived by her sons: Walter and Frank (Fran) Rittman and her grandchildren: Sadie and Huxley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; and numerous beloved cats and dogs.
Patricia loved animals, her home in Chautauqua, music and her family. She will be missed by countless friends and the family suggests that any remembrance in her name be donated to the Chautauqua County ASPCA, The North Shore Animal League on Long Island, N.Y., or the Chautauqua Opera Company.
A memorial will be planned at Chautauqua, N.Y., in the summer of 2018.
