Alan Kingston (King) Lindblom

Alan Kingston (King) Lindblom passed away on April 29, 2017, in Orlando, Fla. He was born on January 22, 1942, to Dr. Fenner E. and Marguerite Palmer Lindblom of Jamestown and Scandia .

King was a graduate of Jamestown High School in 1960, the Jamestown Community College and University of Miami in Florida .

He was the drum major of the Jamestown High School band and his appreciation of music continued throughout his life. He held a private pilot’s license and enjoyed flying.

He was employed in the OSHA Project “Catch-up” at the Boy’s Club in Jamestown and served on the planning committee for the Northern Area Homes, a senior citizens housing project in Russell , Pa.

He worked as a social worker at Warren State Hospital .

He served in the National Guard and was engaged in sheep farming with his father in Scandia .

King had resided in Orlando, Fla., for many years.

He is survived by a daughter, Cinnamon Becker of Scandia; a grandson, Austin Gage; a brother, Dr. Fenner Palmer Lindblom of Rochester; and a sister, Dr. Julie Boozer of Scandia; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Interment will be at the Scandia Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Memorials in King’s memory may be made to the Elk Township Historical Society in Scandia, 3794 Cole Hill Road, Russell, PA 16345.
