Mary A. Warden
Mary A. Warden, 92, formerly of 219 Niagara Ave., Jamestown, passed away Monday June 5, 2017, in the Kinzua Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Warren, Pa., surrounded by her family.
A lifelong area resident, she was born Sept. 1, 1924, in Jamestown the daughter of the late James and Mary Morgante Saullo.
For several years, Mary worked at Weber Knapp Co. and previously at National Worsted Mills.
Mary was devoted to her family. They meant the world to her.
Surviving are a son, Timothy J. (Sue) Warden of Jamestown; two daughters: Patricia (Helen) Walther of Jamestown and Cindy (Jon) Slagle of Frewsburg; eight grandchildren: Kimberly George, Karaley Gray, Bradley Carlson, Brandon Foti, Matthew Foti, Cory Philbrick, Brad Slagle, and Janelle Swan; nine great-grandchildren: Joseph and Jamie George, Ryan Pollino, Kyler Gray, Corey and Jenna Carlson, Lyra Foti, Logan Slagle, and Lillian Swan; and two sisters: Della LaPorte, and Esther Varvelle.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth C. Warden Sr., whom she married Aug. 1, 1947, and who died June 28, 1995; a daughter, Pamela J. Fiorella, who died Nov. 16, 2007; a son, Kenneth C. Warden Jr., who died April 11, 2012; three sisters: Angie Saullo, Josie Myric , and Jennie DePasquale; and two brothers: Jake Saullo and Jasper Saullo.
The funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Mark Rusnak will officiate.
Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Thursday (two hours prior to the service) in the funeral home.
