Bethanna Marguerite (Smith) Kaler
Bethanna Marguerite Kaler, age 88, of Bucyrus, Ohio, formerly of Inverness, Fla., passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at the Waterford in Fairfield, Ohio. She was born April 30, 1928, in Columbus, Ohio, daughter of William McKinley Smith and Anna Marguerite (Bennett) Smith. She was married June 9, 1946, to Glenn “Bill” William Kaler. She had been a bookkeeper for Stan Shelley Clothing Store in Bucyrus and also a teller at First Florida Bank of Inverness. Mrs. Kaler is survived by two children, Mrs. Linda (Richard) Jennings of Fairfield and Glenn William (Nancy) Kaler II of Martinsville, Ohio. Also surviving are six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 39 years, Glenn “Bill” W. Kaler; her beloved companion, Sydney Anderson; her parents; her brothers, Clinton, Eugene, Walter Wayne “Todd”; and her sister, Myssie. She will always be remembered by her kindness, her humor and as a friend to everyone she met. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
