Ann T. Duncanson

Ann T. Duncanson, 89, of Jamestown, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017, in the St. Vincent Health Center, Erie, Pa.

An area resident since 1966, she was born Feb. 11, 1927, in Manhattan, N.Y., a daughter of the late James and Margaret Hughes Toner.

She was a graduate of the Cathedral High School in New York City.

She was a communicant of the former St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Sinclairville and most recently Holy Apostles Parish in Jamestown. She also attended St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church, Bemus Point, with her family.

She will be remembered as a loving and caring mother and grandmother who was known as an accomplished seamstress, making wedding dresses for several members of her family.

Surviving are her five children: Gregory (Patty) Duncanson of Jamestown, N.Y., Mark Duncanson of West Ellicott, William F. (Sandra) Duncanson IV of Bemus Point, N.Y., James (Emma) Duncanson of Jamestown, and Ann (Kenneth) Crossley of Bemus Point, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren: Matthew (Jennifer Grandinetti) Duncanson, Michael (Amanda Crossley) Duncanson, Lillian Scholeno, William F. Duncanson V; Elizabeth (Matthew) Gillaspy, Alexander Duncanson, James Duncanson, Emilia Duncanson, Sara Crossley, Patrick Crossley and Clare Crossley; two great- grandchildren: Michelle A. Gillaspy and Mason S. Duncanson; and two sisters: Josephine Walton of New York, and Mary Mandeville of Connecticut.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Duncanson, III whom she married June 18, 1949, and who died April 23, 2010; and a brother, James Toner.

A concelebrated memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2017, in St. Mary of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Bemus Point. The Rev. Todd Remick, pastor and the the Rev. John Kuhlmann, former pastor will be celebrants. Inurnment will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation will not be observed.
