Dana H. Unger
Dana H. Unger, 65, of Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing, formerly of Falconer, passed away Friday (Sept, 30, 2016) in UPMC Hamot, Erie, Pa.
A lifelong area resident, he was born May 16, 1951, in Jamestown, the son of the late Donald H. and Darlene A. Matteson Unger.
Dana was a graduate of Falconer High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. In earlier years, he was employed by Knights Veneer and Falconer Plate Glass for more than 20 years.
He was a member of the Henry Mosher Post 638 American Legion and Falconer United Methodist Church. Dana enjoyed watching movies and playing video games on his playstation.
Surviving are two brothers: Daryl (Merlita) Unger of Pleasanton, Calif., and Darren Unger of Martinsburg, W.Va.; a sister, Darla (Terry) Killen of Falconer; two nieces: Jennifer Ransom and Heather Ewing; three nephews Brandon Unger, Damien Unger and Christopher Hall; and several grandnieces and grandnephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald H. Unger, in 2002, and his mother, Darlene A. Unger, in 2002; and his grandmother, Alice Matteson, in 2005.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the Falconer Funeral Home. The Rev. Gerald Haglund, chaplain of Heritage Park, will officiate. Burial will be in Kennedy Riverside Ceme- tery.
Friends will be received by the family one hour prior to the funeral service Monday in the funeral home.
