Terry was born Jan. 17, 1959, in Salamanca, N.Y.; the daughter of the late Leonard C. and Patricia (Ranney) Weishan.

Terry was a 1977 graduate of Ellicottville Central School as well as a graduate of Jamestown Community College, which she attended after serving in the US Army. A proud veteran, she served six years in the US Army working as an Air Traffic Controller. She enjoyed a tour in Alaska. She then spent three years as an active member of the US Air Force Reserves.

Terry was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker, always there for her family. She attended the Jamestown Christian and Missionary Alliance Church where she served as secretary of the Great Commission Women. She loved all animals, especially her dogs.

On Feb. 14, 1988, Terry wed her husband, Rolland Austin who survives. Also surviving are their two children: Dan Austin and his fiancee, Christina Hanson of Rochester, N.Y.; a daughter, Katie Buttafarro and her husband, Jamin Buttafarro of Quincy, Mass.; two sisters, Diana (Skip) Dorgan of Rochester, N.Y., and Debra Weishan of Conroe, Texas; and a brother, Larry Weishan of Salamanca, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded by her first husband, Craig “Red” Horn; a brother, Leonard W. Weishan; paternal and maternal grandparents; and her beloved uncle and aunt, Hank and Ruth Shultz.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Jamestown. The Rev. H. Wayne Eppehimer, pastor, will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Friday in the Lind Funeral Home.
