Nevon W. Tarbell
Nevon W. Tarbell, 77, of Greenhurst Village Drive, Jamestown, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, Nov. 16, 2015, in his home.
He was born June 27, 1938, in Oil City, Pa., the son of the late Sherman and Mary Harper Tarbell.
He was a 1955 graduate of Cassadaga Valley Central School and received his associates degree in agriculture from Cornell University.
Nevon was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was a self-employed dairy farmer for 20 years, a loan officer for the Farm and Home Administration for 15 years and a real estate agent for five years. He was also assessor for the towns of Ark-wright and Charlotte.
Nevon was a member of the War Vets, Ira Lou Spring American Legion 149 and various farm organizations including Holstein Friesian Association of America.
He enjoyed sports and was a Bills, Sabres, Red Sox and Celtics fan. He also enjoyed gardening, cars, music and Civil War history.
Loving companion of 30 years to the late Geraldine Dahlin; father of Kevin W. (Leslie), Brian and Billie Jo Tarbell, all of Sinclairville and Tracy (Janelle) Tarbell of Fredonia; grandfather of Morgan, Adam, Nichlaus, Noah, Tristan, Christian, Victoria and Alexis Tarbell, Cody Spunaugle, Ashley Fannin, Shane Brinkley, Lucas Van Houten and Devin and Hannah McChesney; brother of the late Valerie Milliman. Also survived by nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Friday. Burial in Charlotte Center Cemetery with military honor provided by the Cassadaga Memorial American Legion 1280.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, in Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Friday.
