Dimetrio F. “Bucky” Constantino

Dimetrio F. “Bucky” Constantino, 93, of 145 Chandler St., Jamestown, passed away at 11:10 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2015, in his home.

A lifelong area resident, he was born July 6, 1922, in Jamestown, N.Y., a son of the late Frank and Mary Cavallaro Costantino.

He was a 1941 graduate of Jamestown High School, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving two tours of service during World War II from 1942-46 and also the Korean War from 1950-52 as an aviation mechanic second class

Before his retirement, he was employed as a production planner for the former Proto Tool Company, where he worked for 35 years.

Surviving are a son, Donald (Michele) Constantino of Ashville, N,Y.; a daughter, Donna (Kevin) Gray of Honeoye Falls, N.Y.; three grandchildren: Nicole Constantino of Jamestown, N.Y., Mary (Joe) Koncikowski of Seattle, Wash., and Aaron Constantino of Ashville, N.Y.; five great-grandchildren: Kortney Young and Brennan Constantino, both of Jamestown, Lily Constantino and Lia Constantino, both of Lakewood, N.Y., and Ryleigh Koncikowski of Seattle; two brothers: Joseph (Josie) Constantino of Jamestown and Samuel Constantino of Erie, Pa.; and a sister, Nancy Rogers of Indianapolis, Ind.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: John and Anthony Costantino; and an infant sister, Mary Costantino.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service on Saturday in the funeral home.
