Marilyn N. Steinbar
East Otto, N.Y. – Marilyn N. Steinbar, 88, of East Otto, N.Y., passed away Saturday, June 27, 2015, at the Jennie B. Richmond Nursing Home in Springville, N.Y.
She was born Dec. 26, 1926, in Buffalo, N.Y., the daughter of the late Augustus and Carmie (Dabolt) Miller.
On Sept. 11, 1945, she married Preston Steinbar, who predeceased her in 2004.
Mrs. Steinbar and her husband ran their family dairy farm. She was a member of the East Otto United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, William C. Edmunds Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary and volunteer at the Trading Post in Springville, N.Y. She was a devoted mother and wife and she loved her Lord, her family, her church family and her gardens.
She is survived by five sons, Lynn (Linda) Steinbar of South Carolina, Larry (Jenine) Steinbar of East Otto, N.Y., Jerry(Debra) Steinbar of Colorado, Robert (Nancy) Steinbar of East Otto, N.Y., and Daniel (Terri) Steinbar of Otto, N.Y.; a daughter, Brenda (Mark) Peterson of Bemus point, N.Y.; 22 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she is predeceased by three brothers, Charles, Warren and Calvin Miller; and a sister ,Phyllis Reed.
Friends may call at the Mentley Funeral Home Inc. 411 Rock City St. in Little Valley, N.Y., on Tuesday June 30, 2015, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at noon from the East Otto United Methodist Church with Rev. Wes Tessey and Rev. Sue Hadley officiating.
Burial will be in East Otto Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the East Otto United Methodist Church of the East Otto Ambulance fund.
