Larry Gene Starks
A Memorial Service for Larry Gene Starks, 77, formerly of Jamestown, who died March 29, 2015, in Punxsutawney Pa., will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 18, in the Lind Funeral Home.
Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home Saturday.
The husband of Barbara Starks, Mr. Starks had been employed by the City of Jamestown and later, Pills-bury Lime Service and Bus-ti Lime Service.

Larry Gene Starks, 77, of Punxsutawney, Pa., formerly of Jamestown, N.Y., passed away Sunday, March 29, 2015, at the Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
He was born March 22, 1938, in Jamestown, N.Y., a son of the late Clair C. and Ethel A. (Carbaugh) Starks.
Larry is survived by his lovely wife. Barbara L. (Vollentine). whom he married July 11, 1964.
Mr. Starks is a U.S. Army veteran and served during the Vietnam conflict. Fol-lowing his time in the military, he worked for the City of Jamestown Sanitation Department, where he retired after 30 years. In addition to his full-time job with the sanitation department, he also worked for Pillsbury Lime Service and Busti Lime Service.
Besides spending time with his family, Larry enjoyed camping, watching wrestling, John Wayne movies, and tinkering as a mechanic.
Larry is survived by his wife, Barbara; a daughter, Darlene M. Kane, and her husband, Ben of Punxsutawney, Pa.; three sons: Larry G. Starks, and his wife, Marybeth of Jamestown, N.Y., Gordon A. Starks, and his wife, Beth of Jamestown, N.Y., and Timothy J. Starks and Shannon Cooper of Frewsburg, N.Y. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren: Andrew Warner and Brianna, Jacob Hallett and Mis-ty, Robert Hallett, Laryssa and Brooke Starks, Lucas Crawford, Colton, Maxwell, Kaitlan and Peyton Starks; two stepgrandchildren, Marisa and Douglas Lamphere; and a sister, Lois Fiebelkorn of Cassadaga, N.Y.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother, John; and an infant sister, Marilyn; two adult sisters: Beverly Pratt and Betty Pratt; and an adult brother, George Starks.
