Chalan was preceded in death by his father, Kevin A. Williamson; his uncle, Jack Ice; his grandmother Marge (Don) Hurlbert; his gandfather, Marvin “Red” Williamson; and his maternal gandmother, Rose (Howard) Oneto-Eitleman.

Chalan was a student at Panama Central School in Panama, N.Y., and at Clear Lake High School in Houston, Texas. He was an avid musician, who traveled the world sharing his music either in his solo act, with his friends on the Viking lines, with his flatmates in Denmark and his friends in Wales and many other cities in Europe, and with the Bone Dog Daddies bandmates in Jamestown, N.Y. He also loved the Chautauqua Gorge, spending time with his dogs at the Cabin in the Woods and at his “palace.”

Chalan lived life fully and had a powerful impact with his presence and his music on many around the world. His George Carlin impressions, raspy, bluesy powerful voice will be missed by everyone.

A memorial service will be planned and announced in the near future on his Facebook page.
