Eva C. McVeigh
Eva C. McVeigh, 91, of Texas, formerly of 369 Hallock St., Jamestown, died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015, in Parkwood Assisted Living, Bedford, Texas.
She was born Feb. 6, 1923, in Goteborg, Sweden, a daughter of the late Claus and Karin Carlson.
She was a 1941 graduate of Jamestown High School, and prior to her retirement, was employed by Jamestown Telephone Company in the accounting department.
Surviving are two sons: Richard (Cindy) McVeigh Jr. of Bedford, Texas, and Michael (Jan) McVeigh of St. Paul, Minn.; three grandsons: Richard (Cristal) McVeigh III and Matthew (Magen) McVeigh, both of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Zack McVeigh of St. Paul, Minn.; and seven great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard McVeigh, whom she married June 6, 1942, and who died May 18, 1985; a sister, Viola Benson; and a brother, Sven Carlson.
The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Lind Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
