Elvira R. “Dolly” Damond LaMarca

Elvira R. “Dolly” Damond LaMarca, 89, of Hulquist Place Jamestown, died Saturday, May 10, 2014. She was born April 29, 1925, in Jamestown, the daughter of Frank and Mary Russo Damond. For many years she operated Damond’s Food, then re-tired from Millbrook-Stroman’s. She was involved with “Red Hatters,” she was an avid bowler and past secretary and treasurer for her bowling league. Past member of Jamestown Loyal Order of Moose, John W. Tiffany Post 53 V.F.W., she was very well known for having a hat for every occasion, always joking around and loved making people laugh. She is survived by her son, Frank (Diane) LaMarca; two daughters: Cecile (Dennis) Frey and Mary Jo LaMarca (Arthor Benson); nine grandchildren: Nicole Wilson, Hillery (Pat) McIntyre and Michelle (Tim) LaMarca-Ralston, Nicole and Matt Frey, Buffy Nicole Helms, Nickolas (Lindsay) Whitford, Ryan Benson and Jessie Benson; 14 great grandchildren; two sisters: Jen Juul and Franice Hilton. She is preceded in death by her mother and father and by her husband Joseph LaMarca. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at 11 a.m. in the Migliore Funeral Home. Deacon Sam Pellrito, pastor of Holy Apostles parish, will offici-ate. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. to-day, May 12, 2014, in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Chautauqua County Humane Society 2825 Strunk Road Jamestown, NY 14701.

She is the widow of Joseph LaMarca.
