Alberta J. Moore
SPRINGVILLE – Alberta J. Moore, 87, a retired purchasing clerk for Gowanda State Hospital, where she worked for a number of years, died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at her home in Springville, N.Y.
She was born May 31, 1926, in Gowanda, N.Y., the daughter of the late Neal and Mabel (Adams) Mosher.
She is survived by a daughter, Linda J. (Kenneth) Rogan and a son, James (Rhonda) Moore both of Springville, N.Y.; two grandsons: Michael (Beth) Rogan of Hamburg, N.Y. and Eric (Sara) Moore of Lon Derry, Vt.; two granddaughters: Melissa (Nathan) Smith of Hamburg, N.Y., and Cristin (Martin) Benz of Sardinia, N.Y.; and eight great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Moore, on July 21, 1988; her two brothers: Wesley Mosher and Everett Mosher; and her three sisters: Alice Mosher, Aileen Bromley and Rachel Thalheimer.
Visitation will be held at the funeral chapel on Mon-day from 2-4 and 6-7 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, at 7 p.m. at Hills Funeral Chapel, 255 Aldrich St., Gowanda, N.Y. The Rev. David Bevington will be officiating. Burial will be in the Park Lawn Cemetery in the town of Dayton.
