Sam Angelo
Sam Angelo of Jamestown, passed away peacefully, with family by his side on Wednesday, July 17, 2013, in his home.
He was born in Jamestown the son of the late Charles and Sarah Mason Angelo.
He served his country during World War II and Korea as a Navy seaman and was honorably discharged. From 1954 he worked for many years in the construction industry with many companies. He worked for Union Concrete on many construction jobs such as Jamestown Post Office, Chautauqua Lake Veterans Bridge and road jobs. He was very hard working and dedicated to any project.
He enjoyed traveling when his health was better. In his younger years, he en-joyed with his wife, Norma, going to all the famous jazz clubs in New York City, Birdland, Embers and Carnegie Hall. He was a member of the Lakewood Rod and Gun Club and Jamestown Moose. He was a huge jazz enthusiast, with many good musician friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Norma Angelo of 57 years; two sons: Mike (Norma) Angelo of Lakewood, and Steven Angelo of Jamestown; one grandson, Zach (Marriah) Angelo of Indian Trail, N.C.; and one granddaughter, Molly Angelo of Jamestown. He is preceded in death by two sisters: Ann Sampson and Carrie Angelo; six brothers: Joseph, John, Louie, Anthony, Jimmy and Dominic; and many good friends who preceded him.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
