Ella J. Yoder

CONEWANGO VALLEY, N.Y. – Ella J. Yoder, 62, of Keith Road, Conewango Valley, N.Y., passed away Monday (May 13, 2013) at home.

She was born Jan. 24, 1951, in New Wilmington, Pa., the daughter of the late Jonathan C. and Lizzie M. Hostetler Byler.

Ella was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order of Amish.

She is survived by her husband, Eli J. Yoder, whom she married on Feb. 8, 1973, in New Wilmington; eight children: Andy E. Yoder of Stockton,, Jacob S. Yoder of Frewsburg, Ervin E. Yoder of Westfield, Enos E. Yoder of Conewango Valley, Katie E. Raber of Mayville, Lizzie E. Byler of Dewittville, N.Y., Ada E. Borkholder and Mary E. Borkholder, both of Belfast, N.Y.; 50 grandchildren; and 11 brothers and sisters: Melinda F. Byler, Katie J. Byler, Jonathan C. Byler Jr., Clara L. Swartzentruber, Anna J. Shetler, Mahlon J. Byler, Lizzie Ann Hostetler, Chris J. Byler, Erwin J. Byler, Mose J. Byler and Mary N. Byler.

She was preceded by siblings: Lena J. Byler and Dan J. Byler.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. (10 a.m. EST) Thursday (May 16, 2013) in the family home. Old Order Amish Bishop Dan D. Miller will officiate. Burial will be in the South Amish Cemetery, Pope Road, Randolph. The family will be received in the home all day today.
