City woman facing drug, vehicle charges

A city woman is facing numerous charges after being stopped by police Sunday morning.

Anne E. Robbins, 43, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminal possession of drug paraphernalia, improper plates, uninspected motor vehicle, unregistered motor vehicle and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

At 9:14 a.m., officers with the Jamestown Police Department were on patrol in the area of East Sixth and Lincoln streets. Officers observed Robbins operating a motor vehicle with known suspended New York State driving privileges.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle, which resulted in the recovery of a quantity of methamphetamine and packaging materials.

Robbins was transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where she was being held pending arraignment.
