SILVER CREEK -- A 16-year-old has died after being struck by a train.
Around 3:57 p.m. Wednesday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded to the CSX railroad tracks in the village for the report of the incident. An investigation took place and the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Silver Creek Fire Department, Chautauqua County EMS and CSX personnel. Due to the age of the victim, the department is not releasing the name.
