In addition to the 10,000 Maniacs' 45th anniversary concert and arts festival, which ends with a concert at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 5, the Reg Lenna's 2026-27 season includes Sing-A-Long-A The Greatest Showman on Oct. 10 at 7 p.m., New Orleans music legends The Dirty Dozen Brass band at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 7, music ensemble Frisson at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 4, Catapult with an encore performance of Magic Shadows at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 12, and Cirque Mechanics at 7:30 p.m. April 23.
10,000 MANIACS ANNIVERSARY EVENT
10,000 Maniacs will host an arts festival with a benefit concert on Sept. 5, at the Reg Lenna Center for the Arts. Proceeds from the show will benefit three distinct funds at the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation created to honor those loved by the band: The Aaron Perez Fund (to assist Jamestown Community College media arts students), The B&B Fund (to assist mothers attending college in Western New York and Western Pennsylvania), and the Robert Buck Memorial Scholarship Fund (to assist college music students). The festival is made possible by local sponsors Southern Chautauqua Federal Credit Union and UBS Financial Services.
“We’ve been working on old songs and new songs,” bassist and founding member Steven Gustafson told The Post-Journal in June. “The new songs don't have a release date, but when they do, we will certainly be willing to discuss those. Right now we're focused on the September Festival and 45 years together.”
The concert (September 5 at 7:30 p.m.) will be the culmination of a multi-day celebration that includes live music, theater, dance, a retrospective archival exhibition, a new album-listening event and a V.I.P. meet & greet with the band.

SING-A-LONG-A THE GREATEST SHOWMAN
Movie-musical fans can attend Sing-A-Long-A The Greatest Showman (Oct. 10 at 7 p.m.) dressed as their favorite characters in an audience-participation showing of the 2017 Hugh Jackman film. A live host will teach those attending a unique set of dance moves and show the group how to use interactive prop bags.
The film, inspired by the life of P.T. Barnum, was a surprise hit with moviegoers, raking in $81 million at the box office. The music, from "La La Land" and "Dear Evan Hansen" songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Pauhas, was as big a hit, according to the Associated Press. The soundtrack spent two weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart and has four singles ("This Is Me," "Rewrite the Stars," "Never Enough" and "The Greatest Show") on Billboard's Hot 100. "This Is Me," performed in the film by Settle with a pop version by Kesha, won Best Original Song at the Golden Globes.
THE DIRTY DOZEN BRASS BAND
New Orleans music legends The Dirty Dozen Brass band will stop in Jamestown Nov. 7 at 7:30 p.m. on their 50th anniversary national tour. The Grammy Award-winning band has taken the traditional foundation of brass band music and incorporated it into a blend of genres including Bebop Jazz, Funk and R&B/Soul. The Dirty Dozen Brass Band has toured across five continents and more than 30 countries, recorded 12 studio albums and collaborated with a range of artists from Modest Mouse to Widespread Panic to Norah Jones.
The band was formed in 1977 when the Dirty Dozen Social Aid and Pleasure Club in New Orleans began showcasing a traditional Crescent City brass band. It was a joining of two proud, but antiquated, traditions at the time: social aid and pleasure clubs dated back over a century to a time when black southerners could rarely afford life insurance, and the clubs would provide proper funeral arrangements. Brass bands, early predecessors of jazz, would often follow the funeral procession playing somber dirges, then once the family of the deceased was out of earshot, burst into jubilant dance tunes as casual onlookers danced in the streets. By the late 1970s, few of either existed. The Dirty Dozen Social Aid and Pleasure Club decided to assemble the group as a house band, and over the course of its early performances the seven-member ensemble adopted the venue’s name: The Dirty Dozen Brass Band.
FRISSON
Music ensemble Frisson will celebrate the holiday season Dec. 4 at 7:30 p.m. with its Christmas by Candlelight performance. Frisson includes 11 musicians performing selections from the Nutcracker Suite, Winter from the Four Seasons, Sleigh Ride, Carol of the Bells, White Christmas, a Jazz Holiday Suite, All I Want for Christmas Is You, and an audience singalong of holiday songs.
Frisson brings together emerging young artists and distinguished professionals, many of whom have appeared at renowned festivals including Marlboro, Verbier, Spoleto, and Mostly Mozart, as well as in performances at Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall. Several members have participated in Carnegie Hall's Ensemble Connect program, with alumni now serving as principal players in leading ensembles such as the Cleveland Orchestra and the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra.
Since its founding, Frisson has performed more than 100 concerts across the United States and abroad. Recent and upcoming engagements include appearances at the Morgan Library and Museum (New York City), the Da Camera Society (Los Angeles), the Detroit Institute of Arts, the Bermuda Festival, Newport Classical, Syracuse Friends of Chamber Music, InConcert Sierra, Chamber Music Marin, El Camino College, Sarasota Opera House, Woodstock Town Hall, the Mann Center in Fort Myers, and the Palm Springs Concert Association.
CATAPULT – MAGIC SHADOWS
Catapult, a dance performance group that was a finalist on America’s Got Talent, returns to the Reg Lenna Center for the Arts at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 12 with an encore performance of its Magic Shadows show.
Catapult Entertainment is a shadow-dance company created by Adam Battelstein, a choreographer and the creative director and master teaching artist for the Pilobolus Dance Theatre for 19 years, in 2008. The Catapult dancers transform their bodies into seemingly impossible images. Catapult has made films for corporations and performed live for corporate events around the U.S. and as far away as Stockholm, Sweden. Catapult appeared on Season 8 of America's Got Talent, earning their way to the finals of the NBC show.
CIRQUE MECHANICS – TILT! A CIRCUS THRILL RIDE!
Cirque Mechanics brings its new show to the Reg Lenna Center for the Arts at 7:30 p.m. April 23. Tilt! A Circus Thrill Ride! takes audiences on a journey to the backlot of an inventive theme park, where in the shadow of the roller coaster and under the lights of the ferris wheel, the audience will meet the operators, carnies and characters that keep the rides running and the thrills coming. Cirque Mechanics, inspired by modern circus, finds its roots in the mechanical and its heart in the stories of American industrial ingenuity. The shows, imbedded in realism, display a raw quality rarely found in modern circus. Cirque Mechanics signature style is wrapped in acrobatics, mechanical marvels and a bit of clowning around.

Tickets for the 10,000 Maniacs concert and festival events are on sale now. The rest of the season events will go on sale Friday, July 24.
