The 16th season of Chautauqua’s Got Talent came to a close at The Spire Theater with a finale that many are calling one of the standout events of the year.
From start to finish, the evening showcased the depth of talent in the region, with every finalist bringing their A game to the stage. Performances ranged from solo vocalists to duos, trios, and small ensembles across a wide variety of genres.

Several contestants recruited members of the production team to join them on stage, creating a dynamic and collaborative atmosphere that made for a truly memorable night.
Throughout the competition, Pierce demonstrated remarkable growth, along with a strong command of vocal control, range, and song selection. His performances consistently highlighted his strengths while connecting with the audience, ultimately earning him the top spot in this year’s people’s choice contest.

“This is exactly why I love that this is a people’s choice contest,” said producer Angelo Valentino. “Over the course of the season and honestly over the years, you grow to love these contestants so much. There’s no way I could ever choose just one. They all become like family, not just with the production team, but with each other. That’s what makes this so special.”
While votes were tabulated, Valentino said, the second act of the evening turned into a celebration as the audience was treated to special guest performances, including a sneak preview from the original cast of TURN, the Off Off Off Broadway musical premiering May 29 at The Spire Theater.
Last year’s winner, Dewayne Moore, also returned to the stage to perform his new single “In My Eyes,” now available on all streaming platforms.
Contestants joined forces for a series of collaborative performances, highlighting the camaraderie that has defined this season. The night featured several full group numbers and concluded with a memorable moment as contestants joined the cast of TURN on stage for a song from the musical.
With a season marked by growth, collaboration, and standout performances, the 2026 edition of Chautauqua’s Got Talent, presented by SE-93 and The Post-Journal, once again showcased the strength of local and regional talent and the sense of community that continues to define the event, Valentino said.
