Daniel “Scott” Emerson

The Lakewood-Busti Police Department is requesting assistance from residents and businesses located along the shores of Chautauqua Lake regarding a man missing since March 3.

In a Facebook post, the department said the missing person, Daniel “Scott” Emerson, 64, is 5-foot-7, 190 pounds with gray hair. He was thought to be driving a 2015 maroon F150 and was last seen on Fairmount and Lakeview avenues in the village around 12:30 a.m. the day he went missing.

If residents have home or business surveillance cameras facing the lake, officers are asking that you review footage for Tuesday, March 3 between 12:30 and 6:00 a.m.

Investigators are asking the public to look for any video showing a vehicle driving on the ice of Chautauqua Lake during that time period.
