The shop, located at 8 West Main Street, was known as Family Night Pizza first, which opened in October 2022 and closed in June 2024. Following that it was known as Panama Pizza, which opened July 2024 and closed in July 2025. The shop opened up once again in mid-February under the name Rock Hill Pizza, and with a new owner, Melissa Ecker.
“I’ve worked in kitchens pretty much my whole life,” Ecker said. “I worked in a food truck next to my sister-in-law for many, many years and I’m comfortable in a kitchen. People say this is what I was supposed to do.”
Rock Hill Pizza is open Monday through Saturday from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. with a full menu including different specialty pizza, regular pizza, a gluten free option with cauliflower crust, chicken wings and tenders, other types of fried food for appetizers, and salads. Ecker said eventually the plan is to bring in subs as well, and her son, Sawyer, who Ecker described as her right hand man, has been working on making stromboli and calzones. He also has made his own chicken wing sauce called Sawyer Sauce, and Ecker said some other things on the menu stand out, such as a pickle pizza, and everything is made with her own dough.
Additionally, Ecker makes her own tie dye shirts and earrings which she hopes to eventually sell at the shop too.

Ecker said people should be interested in coming out to the shop as it is small town based, with she herself growing up in Watts Flats and attending Panama Central School. Her whole family also is from the village, and her hope is that her son will eventually take over the business as well.
As for being the third person to own a pizza shop in this location over the past few years, Ecker said “third times a charm”.
“The whole community, everyone knows who I am and who my family is,” Ecker said. “The support I’ve been receiving is just unbelievable. I’m very gracious and appreciative.”
With the support coming in from the local community, Ecker said she wants to focus on giving back to them as well. She has already donated to the Panama Central School Little League program and will continue to do anything like that that she can.
“That’s what it’s all about when it comes down to it is family and community,” Ecker said.
Rock Hill Pizza can be found on Facebook and orders can be done by stopping in or calling 716-581-2114, and delivery is also available.
