Go Fund Me Started For Ashville Family Who Lost Everything In Fire
A Go Fund Me and other fundraisers and collections have begun for a family in Ashville who lost everything in a house fire on Friday.
ASHVILLE — A family in Ashville is now looking to rebuild literally from the ashes following a house fire on Jan. 30 that resulted in the complete loss of the house and everything in it.
On Jan. 30, 2026, at 12:13 p.m., the Panama Fire Department and several mutual aid departments responded to 1161 Hoag Road in the town of Harmony for a residential structure. After extinguishing the fire, the Chautauqua County Fire Investigation Team was requested to the scene to conduct a cause and origin fire investigation, which found that the fire started along an exterior garage wall due to discarded ash from a wood stove. The fire was ruled accidental in nature. Amanda Dallas and her family all made it out of the fire, along with their dog, Tank, but everything else in the house was a complete loss.
A Go Fund Me has been set up by Dallas, along with a Venmo under the name @Amanda-Dallas-17, and Facebook pay is also accepted. Dallas noted that a fraudulent Venmo account also exists, so if looking to donate through Venmo people need to look for the account without a picture, as that is the correct account.
The support that the family has already received has meant everything, Dallas said.
“The support that we have already gotten is incredible to me,” Dallas said. “It shows how much of an impact I have made on people throughout my life. Every donation I can’t help but cry. It just means so much to us.”
Dallas added that every donation helps as they currently have no place to live and are actively looking for a place that allows them to have a dog. Physical donations are accepted as well, as they also have no appliances, towels, plates, or pots and pans. New Beginnings in Sugar Grove, Pennsylvania is collecting items for the family, or Dallas and her mother, Yvonnie Pound can be reached through Facebook.
Dallas said overall easily $30,000 worth of machines, tools and clothes were lost, along with pictures that cannot be replaced. She thanked everyone for their support so far and their continued support as the work to move forward continues.
“I am so appreciative and grateful for everyone and everything that is helping us through this,” Dallas said. “This is something I didn’t have in my cards to deal with. There is immense stress but I know God must have a greater plan for us, it’s just hard for us to see right now.”
