Tickets are available now for the Chautauqua County Humane Society’s Pet Expo ’25, presented by Subaru Loves Pets and Jamestown Container Companies.
The expo will be held from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, at the Northwest Arena in Jamestown. This is a pet friendly event. Brian Papalia, Chautauqua County Humane Society fundraising and communication director, said the goal of the expo is to celebrate and create a sense of unity and awareness of the work that so many people and organizations are doing to help animals in the community. Helping those organizations aligns with the Chautauqua County Humane Society’s mission to empower the community to improve the lives of animals.
The heart of CCHS Pet Expo ’25 is an adoption event that brings together every shelter and rescue in Chautauqua County as well as some friends from surrounding counties.
“We have Empire Animal Rescue, Finn’s Furever Feline Friends Rescue, Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue, Phoenix Humane Society of Greater Cattaraugus Inc, Paws Along the River, Small Town Shelter, Westfield Stray Cat Rescue, and of course The Chautauqua County Humane Society. These organizations will have pets at the expo that need a home and hope to see as many as possible be adopted,” said Amanda Sublett, Chautauqua County Humane Society community outreach and education coordinator.
Sublett said Pet Expo ’25 is a chance to adopt and to learn more about the work being done in the community to help animals and meet the people that are doing it.
“It’s such an exciting thing to bring our community together in a way where we can all support one another in achieving our combined ultimate goal to find homes for all of these pets,” she said.
