After four seasons of steady growth, perseverance, and courage, Dewayne Moore is crowned Chautauqua’s Got Talent 2025 champion.

The finale, held Monday, May 19 at The Spire Theater, was the culmination of weeks of fierce competition and unforgettable performances. According to Co-Producer Angelo Valentino, Moore’s victory was not only a celebration of talent but also a powerful testament of resilience. A returning contestant for the fourth time, Moore’s journey has been marked by remarkable transformation. From his first audition — when stage fright often got the best of him — to a finale night performance that radiated confidence and connection, Dewayne’s story moved both the audience and the CGT team.

“Each year, Dewayne came back stronger,” said the CGT production team. “We watched his vocals improve, his presence deepen, and his message sharpen. But most importantly, we witnessed his drive — not just to better himself, but to help others, to inspire others that the impossible can be achieved.”

Moore’s music has always been deeply personal, touching on themes of faith, love, and recovery. While fear once shook his voice, he never shied away from sharing his story and offering support to fellow contestants. That heart and humanity were on full display throughout the competition and especially during the finale, when he commanded the stage like a seasoned performer.

Joining Moore were the Top 11 finalists Amaya Thompson, Christine Porter, Daughters of Thunder, Emeleerose Mason, Gracelyn (Nevaah) Kohler, Kadyn and Marc, Kambria Kennedy, Paige Silverman, Rocco Oliverio, and Shelby Storms.

Each finalist brought his and her unique style to the stage, representing a wide range of genres. The audience was treated to a dynamic and diverse show filled with standout moments.

Finale Night was not only a competition — it was a celebration. While the votes were being tabulated, the show continued with returning contestants performing in moving small ensembles and joyful group numbers. The audience members were delighted by these reunion-style collaborations, and last year’s winner Angel Busch returned with a powerful performance. There were surprise appearances, heartfelt duets, and plenty of emotional moments that reinforced what makes CGT more than just a contest — it’s a community.

As the red carpet rolled out and the house filled with cheering fans, one message rang loud and clear – Chautauqua’s Got Talent continues to be one of the most uplifting, inspiring, and entertaining competitions in the region.

Absent from the stage this year was In Crowd, the longtime house band and performance group made up of CGT producers and judges. After eight years of thrilling audiences during Finale Night, the group is currently preparing for their own high-energy tribute show titled Legendary happening Sunday, June 1 at 6 PM at The Spire Theater. The show will celebrate iconic voices like Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Eric Clapton, Judy Garland, Van Morrison, and The Mamas and the Papas. The performers include Kadyn Abers – 2025 Chautauqua’s Got Talent finalist; Steve Davis – CGT judge, and founding member of In Crowd; Jamie Lee – CGT judge, and Infinity Visual and Performing Arts Artistic Director; Rya Giuffre – Daughter of CGT producers Angelo and Ylsa; Shannon Nixon – Season 1 CGT champion; Bill Ward – Veteran Western New York performer, recording artist, and promoter; and Angelo Valentino and Ylsa Maj – CGT Producers and co-founders of The Spire Theater.
