City Man Charged In Apartment Arson

A Jamestown man has been charged with second-degree arson after allegedly setting a fire in his Fourth Street apartment on Tuesday.

David J. Trout, 35, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree arson, fourth-degree criminal mischief and first-degree reckless endangerment after city police officers and firefighters responded to a fire at 11:27 a.m. Tuesday in the Parkview Apartments, 401 W. Fourth St. According to a police report, the building has 25 occupants.

Trout was allegedly found a short distance away and charged. He was taken to the city jail until he can be arraigned in Jamestown City Court.
