Clymer Native To Lead Clarion County Community Bank
CLYMER — A familiar name in the Clymer and surrounding areas is set to take on a lead role at the Clarion County Community Bank in Clarion, Pennsylvania.
Travis Heiser will be taking on the role of Chief Executive Officer for CCCB, following the retirement of the current Chief Executive Officer, James Kifer, who has served 20 years at CCCB as the founding President and Chief Executive Officer. Kifer will remain with the Company’s Board of Directors and will work closely with Heiser and their Senior Management Team to provide a seamless transition for customers, employees, and the communities the bank serves.
Clarion County Community Bank first opened in 2004 and under Kifer’s leadership, the small business startup with a handful of employees has grown into a highly rated bank servicing 12 counties, with over $230 million in assets now supporting 50 employees and five branch locations.
Heiser enters into the role, following his previous work as the CEO of the Inner Lakes Federal Credit Union, headquartered in Westfield, for 21 years.
“I am proud of my time there,” Heiser said. “We experienced strong growth in members, total asset size, and number of branches. This growth was a result of our deliberate attention to meeting the financial needs of individuals. I am also confident that Inner Lakes has a great team in place and will continue to build on that.”
Heiser said he was interested in becoming Chief Executive Officer of CCCB to push himself and take on new challenges. In this new role, along with being the President and CEO of Clarion Community Bank, he is also in charge of the Flagship Community Bank in Erie, which is a division of CCCB.
“I am responsible for overseeing the implementation of financial products and services over our wide geographic base, as well as putting action to the vision of the Board of Directors for additional service and growth strategies,” Heiser said.
As he prepares for the transition Heiser said he is both “humbled and blessed” to be able to lead a great team in both his previous and new position. Looking towards the future, he said he is looking towards new challenges at CCCB.
“As we did with Inner Lakes during my time there, we would like to grow our service footprint and our branch network,” Heiser said. “I am looking forward to that challenge.”
