Portions Of Interstates 90, 86 Closed In Pennsylvania

Interstate 90 is facing issues due to the winter storm.

On the New York state side, the interstate is closed from exit 59 (Dunkirk – Fredonia – NY Route 60) to the State Line until further notice. All westbound traffic must exit at exit 59. Motorists should expect delays and should seek alternate routes.

Over the border, PennDOT has temporarily closed several interstates in Erie County, Pa.

— Interstate 90 eastbound and westbound lanes from Interstate 79 to the New York state line.

— Interstate 86 westbound lanes from I-90 to the New York state line.

The entire length of I-90 and I-86 remain under a Tier 4 vehicle restriction with a 45 mph speed reduction.

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras.

511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts accessible on the 511PA website.
