The Post-Journal and OBSERVER have been analyzing real estate sales in Chautauqua County and recently looked at the transactions from July 9-15.

During this time period, H&H Properties NY, LLC of Jamestown sold 322 Washington St., Jamestown, to Karen Cross-McGann for $215,000.

The building previously housed MetCredit, USA. MetCredit’s website describes itself as “Canada’s top national collection agency, licensed and bonded in all Canadian provinces and territories.”

MetCredit USA’s website states that “after 89 years, Credit Bureau of Jamestown, DBA MetCredit USA is permanently closed.”

The building is described as “row offices” and also carries the address of 117 W. Fourth St. There are signs hanging in the building saying it is available for rent.

In a separate sale, PJB Holdings, LLC of Rochester sold 2 Clinton Ave., Fredonia to City Wash, LLC of North Tonawanda for $145,500. This address is for a car wash.

The highest sale during this time period was for 5274 West Lake Road, Chautauqua town which sold for $1.4 million.

Also during this time period, Chautauqua Area Habitat for Humanity of Mayville sold 1087 N. Main St., Jamestown to Allison Turner for $79,746. Ground for this rehabilitation project broke in October, 2021.

Including the previously mentioned sale, from July 9-15 there were three additional sales that were $250,000 or higher. The remaining top sales are as follows:

– 3206 Clymer-Sherman Road, Sherman sold for $415,000.

– Chautauqua Lake Estates Condominium Unit No. M-5, Chautauqua town sold for $365,000.

– 89 Bourne St., Westfield sold for $250,000.
