‘Shining Bright’: 15 Contestants Move On To CGT Semifinals

The stage was set, the lights glimmered, and the audience held their breath as the talented contestants of Chautauqua’s Got Talent took to the stage at The Spire Theater for the third round of competition.

Among the standout moments of the night was a touching display of camaraderie between two contestants. Sean Herbin, one of this year’s contenders, invited Sebastian Hulett, who was voted off last week, to join him on stage. Hulett showcased his drumming skills, adding an extra layer to Herbin’s performance. It was a moment organizers say captured the spirit of unity and support that defines Chautauqua’s Got Talent.

Another memorable moment came when Dewayne Moore took to the stage with the help of last year’s winner and current stage manager, Derik Davis. Davis accompanied Moore on guitar and harmonica, creating a synergy between their talents.

But the night belonged to all the contestants, each of whom delivered an exceptional performance that showcased their unique talents and abilities. From Aly Dalton’s Broadway melodies to Kevin Downey’s song stylings, from Daughters of Thunder’s harmonious voices to Kambria Kennedy’s electrifying rock performance, the diversity of talent on display was truly remarkable.

As the evening drew to a close, the audience eagerly awaited the announcement of who would be moving on to the semifinals. After much anticipation, the votes were counted and the results were revealed on the Chautauqua’s Got Talent Facebook page in the wee hours Tuesday morning, and 15 acts emerged victorious, earning their place in the next round of the competition.

On Monday, the Daughters of Thunder performed at Chautauqua’s Got Talent.

Contestants moving on to the next round are Aly Dalton, Angel Busch, Billy Mac, Bobby, Daughters of Thunder, Dewayne Moore, Dull Razors, Isaac Sinatra, Jade Giambrone, Jedidiah Nick, Kambria Kennedy, Kevin Downey, Marcus Leaper, Marley Ohl, and Melani Witherspoon.

Producer Angelo Valentino said “We applaud each and every one of you for your outstanding performances and commend you for sharing your talents with us. As we look ahead to the semifinals next Monday, we can’t wait to see what you’ll bring to the stage next. Thank you to everyone who came out to support the contestants and make Chautauqua’s Got Talent such a success. Your enthusiasm and encouragement mean the world to us, and we can’t wait to see you all again next week for another unforgettable evening of talent and entertainment. Until then, keep shining bright, Chautauqua.”
